St. Baldrick's Foundation

What does it take to Conquer Kids’ Cancer? It takes a bold mission: The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most-promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.... It takes funding life-saving research: St. Baldrick’s has committed more than $56.9 million in research grants since 2005 and the Foundation now funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. It takes a community of supporters: Every year, 160,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer worldwide and one in five won’t survive. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation community is made up of donors, researchers, families, kids and volunteers from around the world who believe that even one child lost is one too many. It takes volunteers and donors: St. Baldrick’s signature head-shaving events are the world’s largest volunteer-driven fundraising opportunity benefiting childhood cancer research. St. Baldrick’s participants collect pledges to shave their heads in solidarity with kids with cancer, raising money to fund childhood cancer research. St. Baldrick’s letsCONQUER events offer new and unique ways to get involved with the Foundation, outside of its head-shaving events, be creative with fundraising, and stand in support of kids with cancer. It takes Facebook supporters: By engaging and interacting with posts, notes, stories and imagery that the Foundation shares, St. Baldrick’s Facebook supporters are spreading the word about childhood cancer faster than ever before. They’re tuned in to hear compelling stories about kids battling cancer, getting glimpses into the advancements of childhood cancer research, and learning the fun, quirky side of St. Baldrick’s through all of the unique ways they can be a part of the movement to Conquer Kids’ Cancer. They’re taking this information and spreading the word. Join them. Together, let’s CONQUER! See More
